PHOTOGRAPHY
A final creative project in digital photography. The goal is to utilize cumulative technical and creative experience to produce a twenty-image collection exhibiting artistic self-expression. A topic of passion or intrigue is chosen by the artist, and each image must be unique while displaying some form of aesthetic continuity.
The collection is inspired by an interest in history, family heritage, and the obscure. It documents forgotten and ancient objects in the basement of a house. Extreme closeups foster a sense of intimacy and mystery. Themes of age and disuse permeate the dust and corrosion. The warm lighting recalls sepia tone photography of the past.
